"The 60cm dish with 3 LNB is receiving all KU NSS6, Thaicom 5 and Measat3a.

With FS1 meter i can even use 60cm offset dish to receive 100.5 AsiaSat 5. The photo above shows that the FS1 able to read some weak signal even without using Feed Horn on my LNBF. No others device able to read at all, i have tried Analogue meter, WS6096 Meter and others china meters borrowed from my friends."

6/3/11 "We have a fifth wheel trailer and travel extensively. Sometimes the roof mounted domes will not see any signal due to obstructions, such as trees.. etc so we must reel out the portable dishes. the convenience of the self power for the lnb`s and the fast sweep capability makes set up a snap. The feature of being able to "lock in and identify) the desired satellite while discarding others..makes this unit worth EVERY penny. It`s so easy, even my wife has surprised me by having the remote dishes set up before i have returned from registering at the rv resort office..

I love this meter, easy to use and the FAST sweep feature is a life saver when it`s pouring rain, and you need get a sat feed real quick. (to calm the masses)"

9/25/10 "I have had this meter for almost a year now. I would not give it up for any amount of money. When I am looking for a satellite I use strong transponder to find the satellite quickly and then a weak transponder to do the fine tuning.  It never misses.  I had a Birdog but got sick and tired of wasting my time because of misidentified satellites.  Now I can align the dish perfectly in under 2 minutes."

The meter is so fast I can move a dish and have it peaked on a new satellite in about 10 seconds YES 10 seconds.
If you don't have a First Strike Meter your wasting time and money with the other meters out there.

Message: I'm new to FTA and found dish pointing to be a real problem. I didn't want to pay $700 for a meter and saw the First Strike for a reasonable price.
As Murphy's Law would have it, my first try with the First Strike was when it was zero Fahrenheit outside.
My past experiences with dish pointing weren't good and I wasn't looking forward to it.
It took me literally 1 minute to point the dish with the First Strike, however.

Yesterday I swung the dish to a satellite to the far west that is low on the horizon and hard to get.  One minute later, I was perfectly aligned.
